Abstract
Objective:To explore the expressions of macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) at implantation window phase of cases with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) after ovulation induction treatment. Methods:The endometrial samples at implantation window phase of natural cycle were obtained from 10 cases with PCOS after correcting endocrine disorders, spontaneous ovulation or after ovulation induction treatment(PCOS group) and 11 infertile women because of other factors(control group) for immunohistochemical staining of MIF and VEGF,then statistical analysis was performed. Results:The expression levels of MIF and VEGF at implantation window phase in PCOS group were significantly lower than those in control group, there was a significant positive correlation between MIF expression and VEGF expression. Conclusion:The low expressions of MIF and VEGF in endometrium at implantation window phase may affect several links of implantation process, which may be one of the reasons of low pregnancy rate and high abortion rate in PCOS patients after correcting endocrine disorders.
