Abstract

Asymmetry Theory is a mathematically derived framework based solely on the well-established principle of the constancy of the speed of light, without any unverified assumptions such as the ether. This formalism introduces an observer-dependent asymmetry while preserving light-speed invariance, therefore maintaining time synchronization, causality and relativistic energy--momentum relations. Special Relativity (STR) or Lorentz transformation is mathematically proven as a symmetric limiting case when the observer's motion is perpendicular to the light-propagation direction. Thus, it covers STR but avoids all the paradoxes and anomalies and extends to non-inertial frames. Furthermore, this generalized framework provides a unified mathematical basis linking relativistic, optical, and electrodynamic principles, including: 1. A formula for light velocity mathematically explains the Sagnac effect, one-way light speed, stellar aberration, Michelson-Morley, Hafele-Keating and Optical clocks. 2. Electrodynamics formulas cover particle acceleration, Mass-Energy and matter wave. 3. A single formula unifies classical and relativistic Doppler effects, cosmological redshift, and Cherenkov radiation. 4. Reformulated Maxwell's equations unify light speed, Doppler effect and Sagnac effect in the solution. Asymmetry Theory is mathematically rigorous and validated by Maxwell's equations. It remains consistent with all empirical findings---including Kaufmann's, Ives--Stilwell, and muon-decay experiments---while mathematically explaining anomalies against STR, such as lunar-ranging and GPS light-speed tests. It predicts new phenomena, including an ``inclination-to-deceleration'' effect and Sagnac effect in inertial reference frame. A motion-controlled interferometer with first order sensitivity to two-way light-speed deviations and independent of reference frame is proposed for conclusive verification.
