Die Inzidenz der tief infiltrierenden Endometriose mit Ureterbeteiligung beträgt 0,1 bis 1%. Typischerweise ist das untere Ureterdrittel bis etwa 4 cm oberhalb der Einmündung in die Blase betroffen. In etwa 9% der Fälle handelt es sich um eine bilaterale Problematik. Wissenschaftler aus Brasilien berichten nun den Fall einer solchen Patientin und beschreiben das chirurgische Prozedere bei dieser aggressiven Endometriosemanifestation.
