Abstract

Abstract In this article, the authors propose a new educational grading system based on fuzzy techniques including five interrelated modules. Through an example used to illustrate the process of the proposed fuzzy educational grading system, we find that the proposed system satisfy the essential needs for educational grading systems as well as can overcome the limitations of some existing fuzzy educational grading systems. After making a discussion between the marks obtained from the proposed fuzzy educational grading system and the marks by the traditional method, we find that the proposed evaluation system can evaluate students' answer sheets in a more objective and intelligent manner. The aim of the proposed method is not to replace existing fuzzy educational grading systems but to enrich the present systems for students' learning achievement evaluation.
