Abstract
Covid-19 virus was a very dangerous virus. It started in Wuhan, China and has spread around the world. Today it is when the people of the world face it most tragically. In addition, the Covid-19 virus has severely affected our country economically. In other words, every sector in Sri Lanka, including GDP, imports, exports, the stock market and the tourism industry, has been crippled. Therefore, even the World Health Organization has stated that the country should pay more attention to the health sector and for that the country should be closed down. But it is difficult to do so because the economy also needs to be uplifted. Poverty in Sri Lanka is also very high due to the high prices currently available in the market and their unavailability. The Sri Lankan rupee has also appreciated sharply due to the impact on the Sri Lankan stock market and declining export earnings, tourism receipts and remittances. However, the epidemic is finally on the rise and the welfare impact of Covid-19 is having a severe impact on the long-term economic development process in the country. Therefore, it is advisable to take appropriate decisions to control the spread of the epidemic with the maximum possible support and to boost the economy
