Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of MRI in adenomyosis.Methods Twen-ty-six cases of adenomyosis of uterus diagnosed by type B ultrasonic examination and MRI were reviewed retrospectively.The accurate diagnostic rate of MRI for adenomyosis was evaluated ac-cording the postoperative pathological examination.Results The diagnostic sensitivity and speci-ficity of type B ultrasonic examination were 52.5% and 54.2% and those of MRI were 95.6% and 100%.MRI was a noninvasive,quick and convenient examination which could help to orientate the position and determine the nature.Conclusion MRI provide the most worth full method for the clinical diagnosis of adenormyosis and it is of clinical significance in the treatment of adenomy-osis timely and correctly.
