Abstract
The phenomenon of visual hallucinations, where an individual perceives something that is not present in the external environment, has long intrigued both clinicians and researchers in the field of psychopathology. These hallucinations are a significant symptom in various psychiatric disorders. This review article explores the occurrence, underlying mechanisms, and some diagnosis implications of visual hallucinations.
