Clinical efficacy comparison of mifepristone and gestrinone in severe endometriosis after conservative operation

Objective To compare the clinical effect of mifepristone and gestrinone in severe endometriosis after conservative operation.Methods 70 cases patients undergong conservative operation and diagnosed as endometriosis by pathologcal examination were randomly divided into mifepristone group and gestrinone group,each of 35 cases.Mifepristone group took mifepristone 2.5mg,one time a day;Gestrinone group took gestrinone 12.5 mg,twice a week.The treatment started after one week and continued for 6 months.After treatmeat,compared clinical effect,pregnancy situation and adverse reaction.Results Mifepristone group with infertility before surgery in 7 cases,5 cases of pregnancy after treatment;Gestrinone group with infertility before surgery in 4 cases,3 cases of pregnancy after treatment.All discontinued within six months of pregnancy.The incidence of adverse reaction of mifepristone group[14.3%(5/35)] was lower than that of gestrinone group[37.1%(13/35)],the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Application of mifepristone and gestrinone in consolidation therapy after operation of endometriosis is safe and effective,but mifepristone′s adverse reaction is lower than gestrinone.
