Abstract
To examine the impact of endometriosis on the main assisted reproductive outcomes. In this retrospective cohort study, all women who underwent IVF/ICSI in our center between Jan-2011 and Dez-2012 were eligible; only the first cycle of each woman in this period were included in the analysis. The results obtained by women with endometriosis were compared with those obtained by all other women. Our primary outcome was live birth. During this period, 787 different women underwent assisted reproduction in our center; 214 (27.2%) with endometriosis and 573 (72.8%) without endometriosis. The main results are reported in the table. Compared with women with other subfertility causes, women with endometriosis have reduced ovarian reserve, resulting in fewer oocytes and embryos; however, they have the same chance of achieving a live birth during their IVF/ICSI cycle.
