Abstract

Hysterectomy is one of the most commonly performed gynecological procedures worldwide. It is indicated for a variety of benign and malignant conditions including uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, and certain gynecologic cancers. Among benign indications, uterine fibroids and dysfunctional uterine bleeding remain the leading causes in reproductive-age women.
