Abstract

Objective:To detect the expression of FHIT and HIF-1α in endometriosis(EMT),so as to investigate the pathogenesis of EMT.Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the expression of FHIT and HIF-1α in the eutopic and ectopic endometrium of 30 patients with endometriosis and in the endometria in 30 patients with hysteromyoma. Results:The rate of FHIT expression in the normal endometrium, eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium were gradually reduced. The difference of the FHIT expression in each groups was statistically significant(χ2=28.865,P0.001)..FHIT of EMT in eutopic endometrium showed no difference in difference r-AFS stages(χ2=2.337,P=0.341);FHIT of EMT in ectopic endometrium showed significant difference in difference r-AFS stages;FHIT in Ⅰ~Ⅱ stage was higher than that of Ⅲ~Ⅳ stage(χ2=6.816,P=0.019).The difference of the FHIT expression in ectopic endometrium was statistically significant. The rate of HIF-1α expression in the normal endometrium, eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium were gradually rise. The difference of the HIF-1α expression in each groups was statistically significant(χ2=55.798,P=0.000).HIF-1α of EMT in eutopic endometrium and in ectopic endometrium showed no difference in difference r-AFS stages.(χ2=0.867,P=1.000;χ2=2.049,P=0.583).There was a significant minus correlation between the expression of FHIT and HIF-1α in endometriosis. There was a significant minus correlation expression in the eutopic endometrium(r=-0.443,P=0.014);There was a significant minus correlation expression in the ectopic endometrium(r=-0.462,P =0.010).Conclusion:FHIT and HIF-1α may have a synergetic action in the beginning and developing of endometriosis.
