A case report of a repeated operation of polypoid endometriosis in the cervix and vaginal canal and a review of the literature

Objective To report a rare case of repeated operation of polypoid endometriosis (PEM) in the cervix and vaginal canal. Methods The clinical materials of a case that PEM occurred in the cervix and vaginal canal was retrospectively analyzed and related literature review was conducted. Results The patient was admitted to the hospital for prolonged menstruation with repeated discovery of cervical and vaginal neoplasm for more than 3 years. The diagnosis of cervical and cervix-vaginal neoplasm was pathologically diagnosed as PEM. The diagnosis was timely and accurate. Conclusion For patients with repeated cervix, vaginal neoplasm growth and repeated vaginal bleeding should be paid attention to gynecological specialist examination, if necessary, pathological biopsy was used to confirm the diagnosis, to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis, missed diagnosis.
