Abstract
The study aimed to evaluate the environmental management strategies of the Philippine Coconut Authority-Zamboanga Research Center (PCA-ZRC) and provide recommendations for the development of green governance. Drawing on the concept of collaborative governance, the study employed a mixed-methods approach, including a survey questionnaire and interviews with key informants. The results revealed that the PCA-ZRC has implemented several environmental management programs such as pollution control, waste management, and environmental education. However, the study identified gaps in the implementation of these programs, including the need for better coordination among stakeholders and the development of a comprehensive environmental management plan. The study recommends that the PCA-ZRC adopt a collaborative governance approach, which involves the participation of all stakeholders, including the local community, in the decision-making process. The study's findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and public administrators in promoting green governance and sustainable development.
