Abstract

Abstract An 85-years-old farmer presented with verrucous mass in the right lower leg inner side for five years, and then the left leg inner side gradually developed a similar lesion. Yeast cells were observed in the tissue with PAS and GMS. Sporothrix globose was identified by culture, ITS, and CAL. The patient improved after 4 months of oral terbinafine. The development and distribution of exceptional characteristics lesion indicated self-inoculation by the close touch of legs during sleeping resulted in symmetrical sporotrichosis.
