Expression of HER-2 and PTEN in endometrioid adenocarcinoma and its clinical significance

Objective To investigate the expression of HER-2 and PTEN in endometrial carcinoma.Method The expression of HER-2 and PTEN was detected by immunohistochemical assay in 60 cases of endometrial carcinoma and 32 cases of normal endometrial tissues.Results:The expression of HER-2 in endometrial carcinoma tissues was higher than that of normal endometrial tissues(P0.05).The HER-2 expression was related with the pathological grading and clinical staging as well as Infiltration depth of the endometrial carcinoma(P0.05).The expression deletion of PTEN in endometrial carcinoma tissues was lower than that of normal endometrial tissues(P0.05).The PTEN protein expression loss was related with the pathological grading and the histological classification of the endometrial carcinoma(P0.05).The expressions of HER-2 were negatively correlated with PTEN of the endometrial carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion Detection of HER-2 together with PTEN is valuable for early diagnosis and evaluation of prognosis for endometrial carcinoma.
