Abstract

Eleven days after laparoscopic excision of deep endometriosis, a 32-year old patient was admitted to the emergency room of our institution because of severe vaginal bleeding. The patient was apyretic but asthenic; she did not suffer pain symptoms. Gray-scale ultrasound demonstrated a hypoechoic dilatation of the left uterine artery and a distension of the uterine cavity.
