Abstract

Objective To study the expression of cyclin E and P27 in ovarian endometriosis and their clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemical S-P method was employed to detect the expression of cyclin E,P27 in the ectopic endometrium of the patients with ovarian endometriosis(40 cases),and normal endometrial tissue(21 cases). Results The positive expression rate of cyclin E was higher in ovarian endometriosis than in normal tissue(P0.05).The positive expression rate of P27 in ovarian endometriosis was lower than that in control group(P0.05).The positive expression rate fo P27 was higher in ovarian endometriosis eaely stages(Ⅰ~Ⅱ) than in later stages(Ⅲ~Ⅳ)(P0.05).The positive expression rate fo cyclin E was lower in ovarian endometriosis eaely stages(Ⅰ~Ⅱ) than in later stages(Ⅲ~Ⅳ)(P0.05).Conclusion As cell cycle regulatory factors,P27 and cyclin E might be involved in the development of endometriosis. The both may predict patients' prognosis.
