Low-dose Colchicine in Treatment of Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy with Pericardial Effusion
preprint
OA: closed
Abstract
We present a 54-year-old woman who had a 3-day history of acute chest pain due to an emotional trigger. Electrocardiogram, blood test, and cardiac imaging consisted of a diagnosis of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy with pericardial effusion. Her cardiac function recovered after treatment, and the pericardial effusion was corrected by low-dose colchicine.
