両側卵巣エンドメトリオージスによる尿管狭窄の1例

A case of ovarian endometriosis obstructing bilateral ureters was presented. A 39-year-old woman, a mother of 2 children, was found to have recurrent pyelonephritic episodes with bilateral ureteral obstructions associated with huge and rapidly growing pelvic masses. A laparotomy disclosed that the masses consisted of chocolate cysts having derived from both ovaries, and salpingooophorectomy with simple supravaginal hysterectomy was performed. As histopathological diagnosis was an endometriosis, she has been maintained on oral progestins with excellent postoperative course. Literatures were reviewed with emphasis on rapid obstruction of ureters owing to benign tumors of ovaries.
