Economic Impact of COVID-19 on Some Selected Sectors of India: An Overview

Abstract
A virus that started as a healthcare crisis in a Central China, within a span of a few months, had taken the form of a pandemic that as caused Global turbulence. This is no longer just a health issue, but an economic, political and what seems like an approaching recession worse than the Global Financial Crisis, 2008. Although many controversies surround the origin of the virus, the vaccine for the same seems to be distant. The means of combating the outbreak requires social distancing that has lead to global lockdowns, causing slowdown in the Economies around the world. Some of the worst affected countries are developed countries like U.S.A., U.K.. The impact of the pandemic on the global economy on some specifying sectors has been discussed in the following paper.
