Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)α in early pregnant tissue. Methods:10 patients were in experimental group and 10 in control group. Early pregnant patients with uterine or adnexal benign mass and no subsequent desiring pregnancy were selected as experimental group. In this group induced abortion was done after laparoscopic operation. Early pregnant patients with induced abortion were selected as control group. Immunohistochemical assay was performed in embryonic tissue after induced abortion in two groups for comparison the expression of VEGF and TNF-α in embryonic tissue. Results:The expression of VEGF and TNF-α in embryonic tissue in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05). Conclusions:Because carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum can affect early pregnancy, laparoscope should be carefully used in early pregnant patient.
