2006
OA: closed

Abstract

A botulinum toxin, for example botulinum toxin type A, is useful in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for treating pelvic pain, in particular pelvic pain associated with interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, prostatodynia, or urethral instability syndromes. ! The composition may be provided in a form suitable for administration into the bladder of a patient, or to the external urethral sphincter of the patient. ! The composition may be formulated in a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation selected from a liquid, a powder, a cream, an emulsion, a pill, a troche, a suppository, a suspension, a solution or an injectable composition.
