Expression of gonadotropin-releasing hormon receptors in endometriosis

【Objective】To observe the expression of gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor(GnRH-R) in endometriosis(EMS) and to investigate its significance.【Methods】Protein expression and localization of GnRH-R from EMS and control were analyzed by immunohistochemidl method and mRNA expression were observed by RT-PCR method.【Results】GnRH-R was expressed at the protein level in all eutopic endometrium and endometrial cells cultured in vitro,in 54.2% ectopic endometrium,the expression of mRNA was consistent with that of protein.【Conclusions】There exists protein and mRNA expression of GnRH-R in endometrium of endometriosis,and indicates that GnRH-R can be target of GnRH analogs used in clinical treatment.
