Pelvic endometriosis surgery aided by drugs in the treatment of 64 cases

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical features of pelvic endometriosis and therapeutic effect of surgery aided by drugs.Methods 64 cases were chosen from the patients hospitalized in our hospital from January 2005 to May 2009.Different operational means were adopted according to their clinical symptoms and intra-operative probe.Drugs were administrated after operation and therapeutic effects were analyzed.Results Follow-up one year later revealed that out of the 64 cases the total and the partial remission rates were 67.2% and 29.7% respectively while the recurrence rate only accounted for 4.7%.Conclusion Appropriate surgical means according to different clinical features coupled with proper drugs is the rational method in the current treatment of pelvic endometriosis.
