Dextran microspheres embolization uterine artery for Treatment of Adenomyosis

Objective:To evaluate the effects of dextran microspheres uterine artery embolization for adenomyosis. Methods:Total of 30 patients with adenomyosis were treated by UAE.They were followed for 1,3 and 6 months to be observed for The improvement of symptoms and uterine size changes.Results:Bilateral embolization of the uterine arteries was performed in 30 patients,Improvement of menstrual pain was obtained in 27(90.0 0%) symptomatic patients.The mean reduction of uterine volume was 14.56%、36.63%、41.32%,respectively at 6 months after embolization.Conclusion:This shows uterine artery embolization with Dextran mierospheres is an effective in the near future.
