Abstract

Global data on COVID-19 pandemic morbidity/mortality from most of the rich and poor countries has baffled public healthcare professionals. Pathogenic mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 virus are still not clear and established even after seven months of pandemic sweeping the whole globe and killing more than 0.777 million deaths till writing of the paper (18th August 2020). Socioeconomic status of populations seems to have played a vital role for the huge differences in mortality among various countries. It is strange that despite extremely unhygienic local environments, disadvantaged population fared better in the COVID-19 pandemic in poor countries compared to developed countries having great healthcare infrastructure with the only exception being Japan. All circumstantial evidence points towards the difference in the type of salts consumed. Natural salts have many trace elements including radioactive elements. Radioactive radiations are known to inactivate pathogens. It is hypothesized that COVID-19 mortality is inversely proportional to the consumption of natural salts. This hypothesis successfully explains the huge differences in the mortality rates between the rich and the poor countries. Till date, no other hypothesis or scientific explanation has been put forward to explain such huge mortality differences. Test results of Oxford Vaccine are discouraging and further trial is suspended. The radioactivity properties make the natural salts an appealing prophylaxis against virus attacks.
