Abstract
Objective: To study the drug effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine Sargentgloryyine Formula on experimental cndometriosis in the rat. Method: The model of endometriosis rats was induced by transplanting with endometrium surgically. The rats were divided into 6 groups by random: the non-treatment group, the castrate group, the treatment group by Danazol (80 mg/kg), the treatment group by high dose of Traditional Chinese Medicine Sargentgloryyine Formula (110 g/kg), the medium dose group (77.5 g/kg) and the low dose group (55 g/kg). After 3 weeks' treat, the volum of endometrium was detected by cutting the rats' belly open, the materials were drawn from endometrium for tissue section, and the quantity analysis of endometrium was done by semi-automatic image analysis machine. Results: There was no significant difference of the endometrium volum between the low dose group and the non-treatment group (P0.05), all else groups' endometrium volums were significantly lower than those of the non-treatment group (P0.05). And apart from the low dose group, all else groups' heights of the endometrium epithelia were significantly lower than those of the non-treatment group (P0.01). Conclusion: Traditional Chinese Medicine Sargentgloryyine Formula can refrain the growth of the endometrium.
