Abstract
The mass hierarchy of fundamental fermions remains an unresolved mystery within the Standard Model of particle physics. Inspired by Negative Space Theory, this paper proposes a theory that attributes the origin of fundamental particle masses to the fractal spacetime geometry. The theory posits that at the scale of fundamental particles, the negative-space effects of the Huazi Field cause five-dimensional spacetime toexhibitfractional-dimensional characteristics, characterized by a single parameter θ f . From this first-principles framework, a mass formula determined by the θ f is rigorously derived. Numerical calculations demonstrate that this formula reproduces the masses of all charged fundamental fermions with an average relative error of only 0.0025% and a χ ^ 2 / dof of 0.095. The formula naturally extends to theHiggs boson, the massive weak vector bosons (W and Z) and nucleons, andimplies that there can be no fourth fermion generation. This achievement provides a comprehensive fractal spacetime geometric explanation for the mass hierarchy problem and its origin, opening a new direction for solving the Standard Model mass hierarchy problem and understanding the origin of mass.
