Laparoscopic resection of right hemicolectomy, and rectal tumour for loose bowel stool: A Case Report

Rectal cancer with the ascending colon is rare. Herein, we report a patient who presented with diarrhea without obvious cause more than one month ago. A 67-year-old female came to our institution with frequent loose stool from one month. On CT examination, diagnosed with thickened intestinal wall at the junction of ascending colon, rectum, and sigmoid colon. Furthermore, colonoscopy exposed the rectum with stenosis and ileocecal mass. Radical resection by Dixon for rectal and hemicolectomy done for ascending colon. Postoperative pathology showed no clear vascular cancer plug invaded the entire intestinal wall and no cancer was found in the upper and lower wall. There has been no recurrence in the 25 months after the curative operation.
