Abstract

This article reviews advances in the early diagnosis of endometriosis, focusing on the role of serum and urinary biomarkers.Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease, often diagnosed late, that severely affects patients' quality of life.Although laparoscopy remains the gold standard, its invasive nature justifies the search for alternative methods.Biomarkers, especially interleukins, CA-125, VEGF, and microRNAs, have shown potential in recent studies.Their combination in diagnostic panels may increase sensitivity and specificity, reducing the time to definitive diagnosis. The research also emphasizes the importance of methodological standardization, integrated clinical data collection, and personalized medicine. It concludes that biomarkers represent a promising path to faster, more accurate, and accessible diagnosis.
