The expression of EphrinA1 in tubal ectopic pregnant tissues

Abstract
This study designed to evaluate the expressions of EphrinA1 in implantation and non-implantation sites of tubal ectopic pregnant tissues. Samples of tubal ectopic pregnant tissues(n =14) were divided into implantation site group(n=14) and non-implantation site group(n=14). Samples of oviductal ampullae tissues in the secretory stage as the control group(n =12) were obtained from women undergoing abdominal hysterectomy with adnexectomy for benign disease such as uterine leiomyoma, adenomyosis in the pelvic cavity. Expressions of EphrinA1 were determined by the immunohistochemical and RT-PCR methods in the three groups. As results, positive staining of EphrinA1 was observed in the cytoplasm of the epithelial cells in oviducts and the trophoblast in the implantation site. The expression levels of EphrinA1 protein and mRNA in the implantation site group were lower than those of the non-implantation site group or the control group. In conclusion, EphrinA1 level in the implantation site of tubal pregnant tissues is relative low, which may involved in aetiology of tubal pregnancy.
