Abstract
Objective:To compare the effect of laparoscopic surgery versus laparotomy for ovarian endometriosis. Methods: Patients with ovarian endometriosis were divided into two groups, laparoscopy and laparotomy group, who were followed up postoperatively for 12-60 months. Results: The amount of blood lost during the laparoscopy group was significantly less than that in laparotomy group, operatin time was similar between the two group. The postoperative recovery in laparoscopic group was signigicantly less than in laparotomy. There were no differences in postoperative malady rate, symptoms remission, pregnancy rate and disease recurrent rate between two groups. Conclusion: Laparoscopic operation for ovarian endometriosis is as effective as laparotomy, but laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis is micro-invasive,safely,rapid postoperative recovery and can be performed widely.
