Sigmoid volvulus as a cause of Intestinal obstruction in pregnancy: A case report
preprint
OA: closed
Abstract
Sigmoid volvulus is one of the rare causes of intestinal obstruction in pregnancy and can result in significantly increased maternal and fetal mortality rates, especially in case of delayed diagnosis. In this report, we present a 34 week-pregnant lady presenting with intestinal obstruction due to sigmoid volvulus and her management.
