Terbutaline (beta-andrenergic agonist) as a uterine smooth muscle relaxant to treat endometriosis

Described are compositions and methods for using a beta -adrenergic agonist for treating endometriosis, for treating infertility, and for enhancing fertility. Further described is the formulating such a composition or method in such a way as to provide therapeutically sufficient levels of the beta -adrenergic agonist locally while avoiding adverse systematic concentrations in the host, thereby minimising or avoiding adverse side effects.
