Abstract
The incidence of endometriosis (EMS) in infertile women is high, but the specific mechanism of infertility due to EMS is not clear. Studies suggested that EMS had a negative impact on ovulation, egg quality, sperm-oocyte binding, embryo quality and plantation, and endometrial receptivity. Nevertheless, the incidence of obstetric complications is also higher in patients with EMS than those who do not have EMS. This article reviews the effects of EMS and different surgery types on the process of pregnancy, and different focus of different types of EMS surgery, in order to provide the reference for clinical treatment.
