Primary Endometrial Adenocarcinoma with Signet-Ring Cells: A Rarely Observed Case and Review of the Literature.
This report presents a rare case of primary endometrial adenocarcinoma with signet-ring cells, documenting microscopic evidence of the coexistence of the tumor and intermediate precancerous areas containing these characteristic cells.

This case report describes a rare instance of primary endometrial adenocarcinoma containing signet-ring cells in a 77-year-old postmenopausal woman presenting with bleeding. The diagnosis was confirmed through histopathology and immunohistochemistry, which showed positivity for CK7, vimentin, and estrogen receptors while ruling out metastasis from the gastrointestinal tract or breast via negative staining for CEA, CDX2, and CK20. The tumor exhibited limited myometrial invasion and was associated with areas of endometrial hyperplasia, leading to treatment with total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and radiotherapy without evidence of recurrence at the time of reporting. This paper is centrally about endometriosis and adenomyosis research — specifically, it documents a rare variant of endometrial cancer arising within the uterine corpus, sharing anatomical origin with these conditions though representing a distinct malignant pathology rather than benign ectopic tissue growth.
