Expression levels of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α in patients with endometriosis and infertility

Objective:To explore the expression levels of interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in infertility patients with endometriosis.Methods:There were 2 groups: the endometriosis with infertility group and the control group.The serum and peritoneal fluid levels of IL-6 and TNF-α were detected by ELISA.Results: Both of the serum and peritoneal fluid levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in endometriosis group with infertility were significantly higher than the control group(P 0.001).Conclusions: The serum IL-6 and TNF-α play an important role in genesis and development of endometriosis with infertility.
