Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in Saveh County of Markazi province during 2019 and 2020. Sand flies were captured using sticky traps and modified CDC light-traps with different wavelengths. Findings: During two consecutive years a total of 1329 sand flies were collected and 6 species in 2 genera including Phlebotomus papatasi, Ph. sergenti, Ph. alexandri, Ph. tobbi, Ph. mesghali and Sergentomya sintoni were identified. Sergentomya sintoni and Ph. papatasi were the most dominant species. The results of the present study showed that light traps with either red, UV or blue LED lamps attract more specimens than sticky traps. Also, light traps with yellow LED lamps catch fewer Phlebotomus specimens than other light traps and sticky traps whereas, it was more efficient in attracting S. sintoni. Although there was difference in attraction of different wavelength for different species, light traps with either red or UV lamps were two most efficient traps in attracting phlebotominae species of studied areas.
