A Rare Cause Of Gastrointestinal Bleeding: Colon Angiosarcoma Metastasis

Abstract Angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive soft tissue tumor that accounts for 1–2% of such tumors, originating from lymphoid and vascular endothelial cells. It is typically of cutaneous origin, and its metastases usually occur in the lungs, liver, and regional lymph nodes. Colon metastasis is extremely rare, with only six cases described in the literature. Three of the cases with colon metastasis presented with gastrointestinal bleeding. Our case is a patient who presented with gastrointestinal bleeding and was diagnosed with metastatic angiosarcoma of the colon, marking it as the 7th case reported in the literature.
