Abstract

Objectives:To study the relationship between endometrial antibody and female infertility with endometriosis. Methods:Determine the endometrial antibody in the sera and peritoneal fluids by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Patients: Fifty six infertile women with endometriosis, 42 infertile women without endometriosis and 32 normal controls were studies. All cases of infertility were confirmed by laparoscopy. Results:The positive rate of endometrial antibody in the sera was 84% in female infertility with endometriosis, which was higher than that in 42 cases of female infertility without endometriosis (26%) and 32 control cases (16%). In the peritoneal fluid, it was still higher in the endometriosis cases than those in the others. However, the positive rate is in inverse proportion to the degree of endometriosis. Conclusion:This method can be helpful to diagnose female infertility with endometriosis, especially in the early stage of endometriosis.
