Expression of E-cadherin,CD44 in endometrial carcinoma and its significance

Objective To explore the relation of endometrial carcinoma and E cadherin,CD44.Methods The histopathological changes and the expressions of E cadherin,CD44 were determined with light microscopy and immunohistochemistry in 26 cases of uterine endometrial adenocarcinama and 20 cases of non endometriosis and non tumurous endometrial tissue used as control.Results E cadherin expression in uterine endometrial adenocarcinama group was significantly lower than that in control group.The expression of CD44 in uterine endometrial adenocarcinama was markedly higher than that in control group.Conclusions Occurrence of uterine endometrial adenocarcinama maybe be related to abnormal expression of multiple factors such as E cadherin,CD44 and so on.Determination of these factors can provide a new way for early diagnosing and treating uterine endometrial adenocarcinama.
