Abstract

Abstract In the present paper, we have presented the cosmological model in Brans-Dicke theory (BDT) of gravity for a Bianchi type-IX space-time. We obtained the exact solutions of the field equations by applying the new form of deceleration parameter, i.e., FLVDP as proposed by Mishra et al. (2016). In the "Results and Discussion" section, we have also presented the physical and geometric properties and mathematical analysis of the proposed model in Sections 4. Sect. 7 of this communication is equipped with energy conditions and statefinder diagnostic.
