Abstract

The article investigates the causes behind Uber's abortive attempt to enter Thailand's ride-hailing market. This research clarifies the difficulties experienced by the firm by examining the different variables that hampered Uber's operations, including legislative restrictions, fierce local rivalry, and cultural nuances. This research gives strategic advice for potential market entrants and delivers insightful information about the dynamics of the Thai market through a thorough investigation. International firms looking to expand successfully in comparable emerging regions must have a thorough understanding of the peculiarities of the Thai ride-hailing environment. The conclusions and suggestions made here are meant to help newcomers make educated choices and get through the challenges faced by Uber.
