The experience of laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis

Objective:To investigate the advantages of laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis.Methods:Eighty-four patients underwent open(n=30) or laparoscopy(n=54) respectively.Operations were performed after clearing the classification of endometriosis.Individual operative program was made according to the age,stage,complication and childbearing demand of patients.Results:Blood loss was(136.57±83.24) ml in open group and(57.36±33.73) ml in laparoscopic group.The postoperative exhaust time was(31.35±7.27) h in open group and(21.22±5.45) h in laparoscopic group.Postoperative hospital stay was(7.26±0.82)d in open group and(4.69±0.77) d in laparoscopic group respectively.Postoperative recurrence rate was 20%(6/30) in open group and 9.26%(5/54) in laparoscopic group.Conclusions:Patients who undergo laparoscopic operation recover rapidly with less trauma and blood loss compared with open procedure.Laparoscopic surgery is the first surgical choice of endometriosis patients.
