The objective of this paper is to identify and map climate factors to population sub-groups highlighting the vulnerability impacting health-outcomes. This evidence review follows a structured, evidence-informed approach to assess and rank climate-change causative factors that affect SRHR for pregnant women, adolescent girls and men and boys. This review is informed by a global literature review of available literature on impact of climate change on health with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. Based on the evidence available, climate conditions were classified in four categories, namely water/ precipitation related changes; temperature including heatwaves, air and atmospheric changes including air pollution and natural disasters. Each climate factor was assessed against three parameters including impact on SRH, strength and availability of scientific evidence and healthcare accessibility. Our analysis found that for pregnant women, heatwaves and air pollution scored as the highest risk factor with a score of 3.0 followed by natural disaster at 2.3 and water at 2.2. For adolescent girls and boys and men, air pollution was the highest risk factor with a score of 2.7 and 3.0 respectively. While the health impacts of climate change are increasingly acknowledged, SRHR remain insufficiently integrated into climate discourse. The analysis identifies air pollution and heat-related exposures as the most significant determinants of SRH outcomes, while precipitation-related changes and environmental disruptions exert indirect but important effects across population groups. These findings underscore differences in vulnerability across pregnant women, adolescents, and men, reflecting variations in biological sensitivity, exposure patterns, and social context. There is an urgent need for hyper-local evidence representative of community-level experiences in climate vulnerable contexts in LMICs with a focus on building evidence for adolescent boys.
