Photoelectric Effect, Photosynthesis and an Extra Phase in the Potential Function

In this study we have discussed about the basics of photoelectric effect andphotosynthesis. We have also connected it with Fermi golden rule. Then we tried to see ifa phase factor applied to a generic model independent sinusoidal potential makes a changein the cross section or not. This study shows us that the extra phase factor does not giverise to any change in the original process and the cross section remains the same.
