Abstract

Objective:To study the methylation of human mutL homolog (hMLH1) promoter and its correlation with endometriosis .Methods:DNA was extracted from 23 endometriosis tissue and 20 normal endometrial tissue .Methylation of hMLH1 promoter was verified by methylation specific PCR ( MSP) .Results:hM-LH1 promoter complete and partial Methylation in endometriosis was 39.1% ( 9/23) ,hMLH1 promoter partial Methylation in normal endometrium was 5.0% (1/20) .There was significant difference( P0.05) .Conclusions:Methylation of hMLH1 promoter is one of the important mechanisms of endometriosis.
