症例は37歳, 女性. 右下腹部痛を主訴に受診. 急性虫垂炎と診断し, 虫垂切除術を施行した. 虫垂は体部の腫大を認めた. 病理組織学的検索で, 虫垂体部に漿膜および筋層に内膜腺と考えられる間質を伴った腺管が散在してみられ, 虫垂子宮内膜症と診断した. 本症は, 30～40歳台に多く, 急性虫垂炎術後の病理学的検索で発見されることが多い. 本邦ではおよそ30例と少なく, 比較的稀と考えられるので報告した.
