To evaluate the safety and efficacy of ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation in treating symptomatic adenomyosis, the technique’s indications, contraindications, instruments, the whole procedure of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation, and the efficacy after this therapy will be shown in this paper. At the end of the paper, other techniques about the treatment of symptomatic adenomyosis are also reviewed.\nAccess this chapter\nTax calculation will be finalised at checkout\nPurchases are for personal use only\nSimilar content being viewed by others\nAbbreviations\n- ce-MRI:\n-\nContrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging\n- CEUS:\n-\nContrast-enhanced ultrasound\n- HIFU:\n-\nHigh-intensity focused ultrasound ablation\n- MWA:\n-\nMicrowave ablation\n- UAE:\n-\nUterine artery embolization\nReferences\nBenson RC, Sneeden VD.
