{"paper_id":"efe3cca2-f526-42c4-9de9-c65034c3f7c6","body_text":"ABSTRACT\nEndometriosis is a frequently encountered problem in infertility practice. Although the pathogenesis has not been well understood yet, the mechanisms of infertility include disturbances in pelvic anatomy, folliculogenesis, fertilization and/or implantation. Laparoscopic surgery, controlled ovarian stimulation and intrauterine insemination and assisted reproductive technologies are used in the management of patients with endometriosis and infertility. There’s no place for medical treatment in infertility management of cases without concomitant pain. Clinicians should be very cautious when deciding surgery for these patients. There’s risk of irreversibly decreasing ovarian reserve during endometriosis surgery. While planning infertility treatment in patients with endometriosis decision should be made by taking into consideration the age of patient, duration of infertility, presence of accompanying pelvic pain and disease stage.","source_license":"CC0","license_restricted":false}
